POCO By Pippa Cork

About This Project

At the beginning of August, we were back working with Pippa O’Connor and Brian Ormond for their second POCO pop-up shop. This time, the store was located in Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork. The design of the space was in keeping with the retail identity that was initially created for the POCO pop-up store in Dundrum Town Centre, which was a very minimalist design with an urban look and feel inspired by the POCO brand imagery and aesthetic.

For the build, all existing walls were covered with the same white brick and marble effect throughout, we also brought in a slightly new design which was inspired by a rough OSB finish with the signature grey colour. In this unit, there was also no existing till so we built a custom-made counter with a grey top which acted as a feature design piece in the space. Based on the demand in Dundrum, we also knew lots of dressing rooms would be needed again so nine new ones were built at the back of the store – once all this was done, we brought in all the custom-made gold and marble display units along with all the additional mirrors and furnishings – we then worked with iZest to install the feature walls including the quote wall and the positioning each of the signature jean styles.
